Multi-cloud environments are ones in which you use multiple cloud computing services to give a more cost-efficient and scalable solution. But popularity brings with it security threats and potential cyber-attacks. You can leverage load-balancing methodologies and admission control efforts to satisfy security requirements in a multi-cloud environment. Load balancing is a method of distributing the workload among multiple cloud servers to prevent one particular machine from being used too much. It is also more secure, as load balancing reduces the risk that an os will crash or be hacked. Intrusion detection methods are software and hardware mechanisms that monitor the traffic of networks to identify malicious activity. Such threats in real-time will be discovered and then stopped by using intrusion detection systems falling under the multi-cloud network, thereby enhancing the entire security. Load-balance is to be merged with the intrusion detection approaches as an ultimate system for protection in a multi-cloud environment. Distributing Distributing the workloads on every cloud and continuously scanning for threats reduces the risk of data breaches and cyber-attacks, thereby allowing peace of mind while working in a multi-cloud environment.
