The most well-known threat that currently affects cybersecurity is phishing, as it exploits people's vulnerabilities. Social welfare and social security are two major concerns in the context of growing hate crime. This research paper discusses phishing attacks in detail and provides measures on how to detect and prevent them. Through a synthesis of the technical, psychological, and machine learning approaches to the problem, the study establishes the means through which the impact of phishing attacks may be minimized. This brings out the importance of awareness creation and user sensitization as effective weapons against phishing attacks. This paper also aims to enhance the protection against this type of phishing and contribute to enhancing defenses in cyberspace by comparing the current security practices and providing emerging strategies to address this threat type.
