Optimized Cloud Performance Through Secure Data Detachment and Reproduction

Gokul M., Rajendran Subha · 2025

Cloud Computing (CC) requires third-party administrative supervision which exposes sensitive data to potential abuse and security problems. Data breaches occur due to cyber attacks that exploit weaknesses in existing infrastructure and systems. Robust security protocols are essential in safeguarding critical data. The Detachment and Reproduction of Data (DRD) in the cloud enhances performance and security, addressing both security and performance concerns extensively. Further, this approach divides files into fragments before replicating the partitioned data among cloud nodes. Each node retains an individual piece of a specific data file, ensuring that if a successful breach occurs, no substantive information is disclosed to the assailants. However, the DRD approach consumes a lot of memory and the data is not exchanged securely or sequentially. To address these issues, this study proposed the Divide & Conquer and Random Shuffle - DRD (DCRS-DRD) algorithm. Moreover, this research also addressed the server fault tolerance problem, guaranteeing consistent data access from the remaining operational nodes despite server failures.
