Effective knowledge management (KM) is essential for optimizing Scrum-based software development, where iterative processes and informal communication can lead to fragmented knowledge. This study examines current KM practices within a sample organization to identify areas for process improvement. By applying the ISO/IEC 12207 standard, two key processes were prioritized for improvement: (c) Sharing knowledge assets throughout the organization and (d) Managing knowledge, skills, and knowledge assets. To enhance KM within Scrum teams, a structured Knowledge Management Process (KMP) guideline has been established, along with a tailored Knowledge Management System (KMS) designed and implemented for improved knowledge storage, retrieval, and sharing. Nevertheless, successfully implementing the process guideline requires the alignment with the organization's policies and operational needs. This research contributes to the advancement of KM in Scrum-based software development by providing a structured approach that improves knowledge retention, process efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
