In the realm of healthcare, the integration of blockchain technology holds promise for addressing critical concerns such as data security, integrity, and accessibility. This study introduces a novel healthcare framework that enhances the security, scalability, and efficiency of medical data management by integrating blockchain technology with an additional layer—the Hospital Server. The proposed architecture, which includes IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) devices, Hospital Servers, and Cloud Servers, aims to improve system resilience, reduce latency, and ensure secure data exchange. We present a three party mutual authentication and key agreement scheme that generates a shared secret key for secure communication, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity. The security of the protocol is validated through formal verification using the Scyther tool and informal analysis. Additionally, we evaluate the performance of the blockchain network using Hyperledger Caliper, comparing the computational and communication efficiency of our protocol to existing solutions. Our results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed security protocol, paving the way for a more secure and scalable IoMT infrastructure in healthcare.
