Quantum Search and Applications

There is another class of quantum algorithms that do not rely on quantum phase estimation. For algorithms in this other class, the speedup is only polynomial with respect to classical algorithms. However, they tackle problems of great practical importance and are of wider relevance. Their paradigm is the solution of a search of an unstructured database, which is performed via quantum amplitude amplification.
