AI-Driven Cyber Defence for India’s National Security

Aditya Shrivastav · Electronic Journal of Social & Strategic Studies · 2025

The growing digital transformation of India produces an elevated number of cyber threats which threaten national security particularly in finance healthcare and infrastructure sectors. This research investigates the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems within security frameworks because they strengthen both threat discovery capabilities and predictive analytics functions and automated incident management protocols. The “Sentinel Net” represents an extensive AI-run cyber defence platform that specifically supports India's digital environment to handle its specific vulnerabilities. The security system Sentinel Net achieves enhanced defence scalability through combination of multilayered protection devices with federated learning and human-operated monitoring capabilities. The study demonstrates why interdisciplinary collaborations are vital together with the necessity of robust regulatory frameworks to enable secure AI deployment within cybersecurity. Also, this research brings global best practise examples to show why coordinated efforts between public services and private companies and academic institutions are needed to minimise cyber threats and secure digital resources for the nation.
