Method and System Application for Big Data Screening of Illegal Cross-Provincial Operations of Passenger Vehicles

R Li, Lijing Liu, Qingxia Xie · Advances in transdisciplinary engineering · 2025

Illegal cross-provincial operations of passenger vehicles are characterized by high mobility and strong concealment, posing serious safety hazards to road transportation. To improve the efficiency of illegal operation management, based on multi-source data such as transportation administration data, dynamic monitoring data, and expressway passage data, this paper proposes a big data screening method for four scenarios: provincial buses operating beyond their authorized scope across provinces, inter-provincial chartered buses running routes with both ends outside their registered locations, inter-provincial chartered buses operating across provinces without valid charter permit, and passenger vehicles with offline dynamic monitoring systems operating across provinces. The paper also analyzes the accuracy of the screening and the reasons for screening errors, and proposes improvement methods and measures, including the use of electronic fences to reduce false alarms for vehicles crossing provincial boundaries and optimizing screening algorithms. Finally, based on the application of the big data screening system, relevant suggestions are put forward, such as further improving the functions of the big data screening system and establishing a coordinated mechanism between ministries and provinces for big data screening.
