There are two main fittings for windows: those to open and shut a window; and those to lock and secure it. In addition to these, there are myriad fittings on and around the window opening, both inside and outside, including fixings for blinds, curtains, double-glazing, shutters, security fittings, fanlight quadrants and skylight openers.
