Joint Routing and Resource Allocation in Covert Multi-Flow Heterogeneous Networks

In this letter, we investigate multi-flow heterogeneous networks where each node adaptively chooses one resource, which is a subband of a communication modality, to support the communications for multiple pairs of sources and destinations. With the aim of maximizing communication covertness while considering throughput requirements of the flows, we develop novel covert communication techniques that optimize routes for multiple flows, as well as resources at each node along the routes, by taking intra-flow and inter-flow interference into account. Based on numerical simulations, we validate the efficiency of the proposed covert routing strategies in various multi-flow scenarios.
