Artificial intelligence (AI) offering cutting-edge tools that improve the detection, prevention, and response to changing cyber threats, AI is revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape. The integration of machine learning (ML) and deep learning enables faster threat identification and more efficient response mechanisms. However, AI also introduces new vulnerabilities, particularly through adversarial attacks and ethical challenges related to data privacy and security. This chapter explores the dual role of AI in cybersecurity, highlighting its opportunities for improving security operations while addressing the challenges and risks it presents. The chapter concludes that while AI significantly enhances cybersecurity, it requires a balanced approach that combines human expertise with robust regulatory frameworks.
