In emerging economies, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the economic backbone, yet they continue to suffer from inept in inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics coordination, especially in rural and semi-urban setups. Centralized systems seldom provide these businesses with the on-demand flexibility, transparency, and real-time capabilities they require. Here is where the paper innovatively puts forth DSILN (Decentralized Smart Inventory and Logistics Network), a novel concept integrating blockchain, AI, and community logistics. DSILN provides a decentralized inventory ledger via Hyperledger Fabric for an inventory tracking system that is transparent and tamper-proof, with an AI engine that provides demand forecasting on the fly and peer-to-peer inventory matching, plus a logistics coordination layer that maximizes last-mile delivery using local transport capacities and intelligent routing algorithms. The system tries to remove inefficiencies from the traditional supply chains and foster MSME collaborative commerce. DSILN lends to enhanced forecasting accuracy, lower inventory mismatches, reduced delivery cost, and greater supply chain resilience, as shown through simulation-based validation and benchmarking against established literature.
