Enhancing Network Observability and QoS Provisioning for Industrial Scenarios: A Unified Architecture with Event-Triggered Server Logic

This paper compiles the relevant features of the current Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Asset Administration Shell (AAS), the Target-X EU project, and other related works, focusing on aspects related to network observability and QoS provisioning. An extension to existing architectures is proposed, incorporating event-triggered server logic. The proposed system is implemented in a robotic scenario and evaluated to demonstrate its benefits.
