A Novel Image Encryption Based on Dynamic DNA Coding Rule and Five Dimension Chaotic Map

Manisha Barman, Subhajit Das · 2025

This paper proposes a robust image encryption scheme based on a synergistic combination of dynamic DNA coding and a five-dimensional chaotic system. The encryption process starts with a secure key generation mechanism that leverages both the plaintext image data and user-defined values, ensuring a high degree of randomness and security. Pixel scrambling is achieved through sequential circular rotation of rows and columns, effectively diffusing the image information. A dynamic DNA lookup table, generated on-the-fly, supervise the DNA encoding, DNA base change operations, and subsequent decoding that adding multiple layers of complexity to the encryption. The proposed method’s efficacy is validated through different mathematical and statistical analyses, demonstrating its potential for secure image communication.
