The reconfigurable converter system consists of multiple power modules and switching arrays, which adaptively allocate the number of modules, which can cope with the demands of diversified scenarios. Due to the reconfiguration of modules and the variable and complex operating conditions, the fatigue damage degree of each module is different, which leads to different electro-thermal stresses, and then the problem of lifetime imbalance between modules occurs. A reliability-oriented multi-timescale optimization strategy is proposed to address the above problems, including an improved droop control strategy based on temperature equalization in the short timescale and a module selection strategy based on lifetime equalization in the long timescale. It can improve the system's reliability of the system.
