Methods and devices for determining the distance of a target object based on surveillance videos

This paper proposes a technical solution for determining the distance of a target object from surveillance video, covering multiple aspects. For sloped surveillance scenarios, it identifies the object's position in the video, calculates relevant angles using camera parameters, and then determines the object's axial distances relative to the camera with these angles and other parameters. The method is suitable for sloped scenes, has low cost, high real - time performance, wide applications, and can geolocate the target object.
