Over the past decade, the growth of intelligent systems has tremendously increased in the working environment. It comprises cognitive technologies like artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and business process management, which facilitate to decision-making process in various applications. In addition to that, it reduces operational costs, increases productivity, and improves accuracy with consistent processes for forecasting. Meanwhile, ethical considerations must be addressed to provide the sustainable and moral utilization of intelligent systems in any sector because the intelligent automation system (IAS) system must help the user to take an appropriate decision with more confidence. Hence, this chapter explores some of the major ethical issues in different domains and security problems that affect the process or execution of IAS and also discusses about the case studies on different ethical aspects of bias, decision-making on IAS, existing ethical frameworks, and environmental impacts of IAS in both positive and negative perspectives.
