Neuroscience is a natural science that studies the development of the nervous system, its structure, disorders, and cognitive tasks of a biological brain. Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field where artificial intelligence (AI) and automation are mutually interrelated. It aids in the design and development of different variants of artificial neuro networks and learning methods. AI is involved in creating artificial minds to exhibit intelligent behavior. Nevertheless, cognitive science includes the modeling of natural minds for understanding the cognitive processes of human thoughts. Neuroscience study supports verifying and validating existing AI models and technologies involved in intelligent automation systems to improve operational efficiency. Intelligent automation comprises three cognitive automation technologies such as AI, robotic process automation, and business process management. The integration of these technologies leads to streamlined processes and simplified workflow. Intelligent automation platforms are being utilized by pharmaceutical and life science companies to reduce costs and human errors. AI can benefit in the study of neural mechanisms of cognitive processes in the brain through networks and systems of networks. These networks and local circuits serve as building blocks of brain science. Hence, it is realized that there is a complementary relationship between neuroscience and AI. Additionally, the learnings from neuroscience serve as cornerstones for data experts while building intelligent automation and AI-powered systems.
