Mobile ad hoc Networks are infrastructure less frameworks. It doesn't require any standard framework. Each and every node can act as a source and a destination. All the nodes in the MANET can communicate with each other by dynamically forming a MANET. Because of the mobility nature of MANET any node can leave the network or enter the network. This mobility nature of MANET will increase the chance for attacks in MANET. In this manuscript a Intrusion Detection System is proposed in which the malicious nodes are easily identified and the performance of the MANET can be improved. Because of lack of strong validation mechanisms MANET undergo severe packet losses during data transfer. To avoid packet droppings a new MACK method is proposed which reduces the packet droppings and increase packet delivery rate. The proposed Power Snooze Mode which reduces the energy utilization in MANET effectively reduces the energy consumption thereby increasing the systems performance. The proposed strategy accomplishes 89% of packet delivery ratio, and 23 J of energy utilization.
