NEW APPROACHES TO DESIGNING FAULT-TOLERANT FINTECH SYSTEMS USING JAVA AND MICROSERVICE ARCHITECTURE

Evgenii M. Rudoi · SOFT MEASUREMENTS AND COMPUTING · 2025

This article presents new approaches developed by the author for designing fault-tolerant fintech systems using Java and a microservice architecture. The work addresses current challenges in ensuring the reliability and resilience of distributed financial systems under high load conditions. The proposed architecture incorporates fault-tolerance patterns (such as Circuit Breaker and Bulkhead), automatic recovery of components, distributed tracing, and event-driven communication between services via Apache Kafka. The effectiveness of the approach has been validated through load testing in a test environment simulating a typical fintech infrastructure. The results demonstrated an increase in system resilience and an improvement in availability to 92% under a 3,5-fold load increase. The proposed methods have proven to be effective in the development of modern and reliable fintech solutions.
