The combination of blockchain with 6G networks portrays a transformative approach to address the challenges faced in real-time authentication in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication. Since 6G networks directly connect huge, incomparable devices with ultra-low latency, high reliability, and improved security, the traditional centralized authentication mechanisms face challenges with scalability, efficiency, and reluctance to cyber threats. It silhouettes a workflow for real-time device authentication, highlighting the role of cryptographic identities, tamper of proof ledgers, and automated decision-making mechanisms in preventing spoofing, replay attacks, and other security vulnerabilities. This chapter also discuss the performance metrics and potential use cases, such as industrial automation, autonomous vehicles and IoT-based healthcare systems. By addressing the technical aspects of blockchain with 6G networks, this chapter aims to demonstrate its potential as a foundation to ensure secure, seamless communication in the next generation of M2M systems.
