Cybersecurity Awareness Analysis for E-Commerce Users Among College Students

Due to the numerous cybercrime issues and potential risks associated with e-commerce, there is a pressing need for education to enhance users' knowledge and awareness of cybersecurity in online transactions. This study aims to assess the level of cybersecurity awareness among e-commerce users and identify the factors that influence it, particularly among students in Yogyakarta. A descriptive quantitative research method was employed to analyze the influence of knowledge and demographic variables on cybersecurity awareness. Primary data was collected using purposive sampling, and analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The results show that students’ awareness of cybersecurity in e-commerce is significantly affected by their understanding of password protection and transaction practices.
