Introduction: Content curation can be applied to various contexts, the purpose of which is to influence the decision to purchase products or services. In Information Science, this is an eminent need, given the volatility and excess of information. However, the curation activity is not yet well defined in the professional practice of librarians, nor how it can be taught during the Undergraduate Program in Library Science. Objective: Present the experience report on the teaching internship in the trajectory of the Doctorate in Knowledge Management & Organization, with content curation as an optional subject, elucidate a general view of the content curation activity when applied in professional library practice; present the experience in the use of active methodologies in addition to the results achieved with the internship experience. Methodology: Methodologically, since it is a report of teaching experience, the study is characterized as descriptive and qualitative. Results: It was observed that the strategies resulting from the use of active methodologies enabled more interactive classes, with the class participating through their experiences and clarifying doubts about the studied topic. Conclusion: It was concluded that the experiences in the teaching internship allowed many contributions, among them, the interactions between students and the teacher, which facilitated the sharing of knowledge, revealing that the role of the librarian as a curator is to select truthful and relevant content, according to the needs of the users.
