The dual ultrasonic sensor-based visitor counting system is an advanced solution designed for precise, two-way tracking of individuals within a specified space. Utilizing ultrasonic technology, two sensors are strategically positioned at entry and exit points to accurately detect people's movement. The system functions by emitting ultrasonic waves and calculating the time taken for the waves to return after bouncing off an object, such as a person. This method of distance measurement enables the system to determine whether individuals are entering or exiting. The dual-sensor configuration ensures accurate counting even in cases where movement occurs in both directions simultaneously. A microcontroller processes the data collected by the sensors, increasing the count for individuals entering and decreasing it for those exiting. The real-time visitor count can either be shown on a display or saved in a database for further analysis. This technology has practical uses in a variety of locations, such as retail outlets, museums, libraries, and event venues, where monitoring visitor traffic is crucial for making informed operational decisions. Additionally, the ultrasonic sensors' non-contact nature preserves user privacy, making the system suitable for areas where privacy is important. As per experimental results, the dual ultrasonic sensor-based visitor counter provides an advanced and efficient solution for accurately tracking and analyzing visitor movement in various environments.
