Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and volcanic eruptions are natural phenomena that often have a major impact on people's lives. In this emergency, humanitarian assistance is essential to save lives and alleviate the suffering of victims. However, numerous challenges often confront the aid distribution process, including inadequate coordination among the government, non-governmental organizations, and local communities. This often leads to the uneven distribution of aid and opaque information. Several studies have proposed the application of blockchain technology to increase the transparency of aid information for victims of natural disasters. However, the conventional blockchain technology, which relies on peer-to-peer validation, is inefficient when it comes to distributing aid across large areas and diverse locations. Therefore, the aim of this research is to enhance the efficiency of aid distribution for victims of natural disasters using blockchain technology and sharding blocks. This research introduces a novel blockchain sharding model to enhance the efficiency of information validation in the aid distribution system for victims of natural disasters. The research method employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a comprehensive literature review. The research output takes the form of a model and application for aid distribution for victims of natural disasters, which is based on blockchain sharding with Hyperledger Fabrics.
