Microservice Enhancement Measures Using Abstract Syntax Tree and Dependency Graph

Nalinee Sophatsathit · International Journal on Engineering Applications (IREA) · 2025

In the Internet world, some software that makes up the underlying microservices may lack the coding discipline and data binding. The fact that they are small and running on large available memory with high-speed supporting hardware, they can get by the ill-effects unnoticeably. At any rate, one shortfall that they cannot avoid is power consumption. Many small but clumsy codes are the culprit since they contain waste cycles that consume high power. Researchers recognize this malpractice and set out to study the microservices development, hoping to establish some well-disciplined coding guidelines with the help of Abstract Syntax Tree and Dependency Graph. These two methods are simple and straightforward to apply and can be applied using classical cohesion and coupling. Top-down and hierarchical input-process-output methods are deployed to test and compare the effectiveness of the proposed method. An experiment is conducted in order to compare the rigor and systematic practices that support the microservices over top-down and hierarchical input-process-output methods with better occupancy, distribution, and effort. It is envisioned that the rigor and disciplinary coding practice will be conducive toward microservices architecture enhancement for Internet software community.
