Performance Analysis of HF Communication System Based on Speech Modal Semantic Encoding

The existing HF communication system has reached a bottleneck in improving communication quality, with limited room for further optimization. There is an urgent need to explore new methods to overcome its limitations. We design an HF communication system based on speech modal semantic encoding by introducing method from semantic communication and compare its communication quality performance with that of the traditional HF speech communication system. Our results show that under similar transmission rates, the designed system can achieve the same communication quality as the traditional HF speech communication system at a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
