Epoch Extraction with Band-Pass Filter and Dynamic Programming

We propose a new epoch extraction method based on a band-pass filter and dynamic programming. Unlike other methods that rely on narrower bandwidths, our method adopts a wider bandwidth to identify a larger pool of potential candidate points. Subsequently, we present a simpler cost function that leverages signal energy, segment length, and quasi-periodicity to assess similarity between adjacent segments. Then, we modified the manner of dynamic programming to eliminate redundant candidates. We verified the effectiveness of the method on the open-source datasets APLAWDW and CMU ARCTIC, and analysed some issues.
