A Blockchain-Based Iomt Framework Using Cloud Computing: a Comprehensive Review

Vidya Srivastava, Anu Raj · 2025

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a smart medical device framework that consists of systems, health services, and applications. Through the internet, these medical devices and apps are connected to healthcare systems. More computationally demanding tools can process and evaluate the gathered data in the cloud because IoT devices lack processing capacity. Cloud computing in a part of a cooperative effort, IoMT is utilized as well to store IoT data. The integration of smart contracts and blockchain technology to the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is investigated in this study. It offers solutions and assesses how well IoMT performs in e-healthcare. Various blockchain-based trust management strategies have been proposed by different researchers. The research challenges include inaccuracy, trust evidence, centralization, high overhead, and decreased adaptability. These can be addressed by employing robust encryption, authentication, and security upgrades, adhering to privacy laws, and training medical staff on cybersecurity. This paper examines the trust issues in cloud computing and examines how blockchain technology uses frameworks for blockchain-based trust management to overcome these issues. IoMT in the future, the application of artificial intelligence algorithms must be given top priority in research in order to enhance the management of security and vulnerabilities in smart healthcare systems.
