Blockchain technology is a transformative solution which ensures decentralization, transparency and security across all industries. In the era of Industry 4.0, blockchain is the most widely accepted and trusted technology due to having its decentralization features. Having the ability to create more transparency and fairness, blockchain based applications are demanded in variety of sectors including private and government sectors. Now a days Blockchain applications go far beyond cryptocurrency and bitcoin. With the use of smart contracts, we can develop more applications for various sectors. Smart contracts in blockchain technology making businesses trustworthy. Whether it is money transfer, Smart contracts. Internet of Things (IoT) application, Personal Identity, Healthcare, Supply chain, Logistics, Media, Government etc. Due to having strong security and privacy features, blockchain applications are in demand. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of blockchain frameworks and its evaluation tools for all leading blockchain frameworks including Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Binance Smart Chain and Plokadot, highlighting their architecture, consensus mechanism, scalability solutions and security considerations. A comprehensive analysis of Public and Private blockchain performance optimization at the cost of decentralization including Hybrid blockchain frameworks. To assess the performance, various tools such as Hyperledger Caliper, Block bench, Chain hammer and Ethereum tester are used to measure the metrics. This study concludes that no single blockchain framework is universally optimal and selection of right blockchain frameworks requires a trade-off between efficiency, security, decentralization and scalability. The insights of this study contribute to the ongoing development of next generation blockchain technology to foster the adoption and innovation of blockchain in decentralized digital ecosystem.
