The swift rise in urban garbage production demands new and sustainable management strategies. This study introduces a Decentralized and Intelligent Waste Management System that incorporates Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency, security, and automation in waste collecting, sorting, and recycling. The suggested system utilizes AI-driven predictive analytics for real-time garbage classification and route optimization, while blockchain guarantees data transparency, traceability, and secure record-keeping. IoT-enabled smart sensors assess garbage levels, initiating automated decision-making to enhance disposal efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Experimental results indicate a substantial enhancement in waste collection efficiency (92.5 %), AI prediction accuracy (96.2 %), and trust score (94.8 %) relative to traditional meth-ods (75.4%, 78.9%, 65.3%) and IoT-based approaches (83.7%, 85.6 %, 78.2 %). The decentralized structure improves stakeholder engagement, minimizes inefficiencies, and guarantees equitable incentive allocation. This study emphasizes the capacity of blockchain and AI to transform trash management for sustain-able and intelligent urban growth, offering a scalable and efficient solution.
