Design and Implementation of an Enterprise ERP System Based on Microservice Architecture
Xiangtian Zheng · 2025
As enterprises expand and business complexity increases, traditional monolithic ERP architectures reveal limitations such as poor scalability, low flexibility, and high maintenance costs. This paper proposes an enterprise ERP system based on a microservice architecture, designed with a layered structure consisting of presentation, gateway, business, service, and data layers. Following microservice decomposition principles, business modules are segmented to enhance modularity and independence. The implementation leverages open-source technologies, including Spring Boot for subsystem construction, service registration and discovery, load balancing, gateway design, and containerization. Lastly, performance and service integration tests validate the system’s improved maintainability, scalability, and adaptability, demonstrating the advantages of microservice architecture in modern ERP systems.
