The event-triggered synchronisation problem of discrete-time complex-valued networks (CVNs) characterised by mixed delays is investigated in this paper. First, to enhance communication efficiency, a switched event triggered mechanism (ETM) is proposed as an improvement over the conventional continuous-time ETM. In addition, on account of the model's switching feature, the designed saturation controller exhibits switching property. Subsequently, a suitable Lyapunov function is established to address the synchronisation control of the discrete-time CVNs, and some sufficient conditions are derived to achieve the desired synchronisation performance. At the end, the effectiveness of the proposed method can be demonstrated by resorting to one numerical example.
