As the digital economy advances swiftly, data's role as a pivotal production element has grown more evident. Against the backdrop of the creation of national big data pilot zones, this study employs the double-difference approach to investigate how big data policies influence corporate new quality productivity and the underlying processes. The findings reveal that the introduction of these pilot zones notably elevates the new quality productivity levels of companies. Additional insights indicate that such policies bolster this productivity by streamlining supply chain operations. A differential impact is observed, with state-owned and centrally located businesses experiencing a more pronounced uptick in new quality productivity due to big data policies. This research offers novel insights into the ways big data policies foster the enhancement of new quality productivity by refining resource distribution and supply chain performance, laying a factual groundwork for the refinement of digital economy policies.
