The Indian banking system has gone through a great digital evolution over the past few decades, changing the delivery and consumption of financial services through traditional channels and connecting the world of finance. The traditional form of banking has gradually been taken over by sophisticated digital delivery models. Increasingly the bank branch is left behind and traditional paper-based banking is a thing of the past as online banking, mobile banking apps, and digital banking wallets have reached widespread acceptance and use by the customer – improving convenience and expanding the reach of banking to rural and remote regions of the country
