The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept of having an interrelated device or system that can communicate and exchange data over the Internet. The devices, through the installation of sensors, software, and other technology, sense and share data to achieve efficiency, automate, and provide real-time insights. The IoT applies to quite a large array of applications: from industrial sensors to wearables and smart home appliances, including lighting and temperature control. IoT has developed at an incredibly fast rate and hit many industries hard, completely changing how business used to be run earlier. IoT devices improve data collection, stimulate innovation, and streamline operations in industries like manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, and healthcare. The incorporation of the IoT into these industries has significantly enhanced operational effectiveness, safety, and customer experience [ 1 – 3 ].
