Harshmeet Singh, Williamjeet Singh · Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research · 2025

Communication for the hearing-impaired community is hindered by a complex web of challenges, spanning linguistic diversity, technological limitations, and socioeconomic barriers. These obstacles result in significant social isolation and limit availability of key services. Extending a review of these problems, the study then proposes a framework of novel approaches concerning Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Concepts introduced include Dynamic Lexical Harmonizer Platform to focus upon linguistic variations and Context-Aware Multimodal Sign Language Translation Engine for translation robustness. The central aim of the paper is to stimulate the advances in technologies and policies toward bridge the communication gaps. It aspires to help build an inclusive society where persons with hearing impairment are considered equals in social life.
