Fully distributed secure consensus of multi‐agent systems under rotation‐scale attacks

Abstract This paper investigates the fully distributed secure consensus for multi‐agent systems under rotation‐scale attacks, which combine both the rotational and scaling effects on system dynamics. Rotation‐scale attacks provide a new form of DoS attack, which can bypass traditional DoS detection mechanisms and cause control signal saturation. To enhance communication efficiency, a fully distributed event‐triggered control protocol with a double‐damping adaptive mechanism is proposed, which guarantees control signal unsaturation. Rigorous theoretical analysis proves the system's security under this approach. The effectiveness of the strategy is validated through a simulation with 20 single‐link robotic manipulators.
