The proactive Security Operations Center (SOC) is a state-of-the-art technology, in the field of critical infrastructure cyber defense, which secure against cyberattacks and cyberwars. The cybersecurity is emerging domain with the application of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques which can block the malware attacks such as the ransomware, that exploits zero-day vulnerabilities. This paper emphases on development and deployment of a comprehensive cybersecurity solution using honeynet technology and SOC procedures, using the Azure cloud environment. The primary objective is to enhance cybersecurity measures by detecting, analyzing, and mitigating the cyber threats in real-time setup. Proposed study includes designing a network architecture, deploying honeypots, integrating security monitoring tools, and setting up a SOC to respond to security incidents. The methodology involves a detailed plan for setting up the honeynet, configuring the necessary tools, and establishing procedures for monitoring and response. The implementation phase covers the technical aspects, including the configuration of honeypots and integration of monitoring tools. The results demonstrate the system's capability to capture various types of attacks and provides the effective responses using geo map alerts. In this study we found the highest attacks from Australia (Brisbane) when we constructed the honeynet platform. Finally, analyzing the attacker’s patterns, rules are set using the Kusto Query Language (KQL) tool to secure the cyber infrastructure against the attacks. Deployment and configuration challenges such as complex setup, scalability issues during the handling of web servers, IoT devices, databases can be resource-intensive and expensive. Dependency on cloud infrastructure and latency issues may hinder real-time threat analysis are the limitations of Azure- specific features.
