This paper presents the development of a conversion device that enables coexistence of 10Base-T1S technology with existing Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) systems. As automotive and industrial applications increasingly adopt Ethernet-based networks for enhanced data transmission capabilities, integrating existing CAN/LIN networks with the new 10Base-T1S technology presents challenges. In this study, we present a conversion mechanism that not only facilitates seamless communication between these heterogeneous network types but also ensures compatibility and efficiency. The proposed device bridges the technology gap by converting the communication protocols and adjusting the signal environment, thereby preserving the functionality of existing systems and extending their lifetime. The architecture, design considerations, and operational efficiency of the device are detailed in a test scenario. The results highlight the potential to improve network integration without extensive modification of existing infrastructure, providing a cost-effective solution for system upgrades in automotive and industrial environments.
