Increasing demands on the reliability of communication systems are stimulating the search for new methods of protecting and improving the quality of the communication channel. One such method is the direct spread of the signal spectrum using pseudo-noise sequences, which allows the signal energy to be spread over a wide frequency range, reducing the spectral density of the signal and reducing the influence of narrowband interference. This method effectively reduces the probability of errors in information transmission and provides protection against both random and intentional interference. This paper presents research results aimed at investigating the effects of spread spectrum signal parameters - such as length and autocorrelation properties of pseudo-noise sequences - and interference characteristics, such as spectral distribution and power, on the reliability of the communication channel. The theoretical and experimental results have shown that optimizing these parameters helps to reduce the bit error rate and improve the system stability under narrowband interference. The data obtained are of practical importance for the development of modern radio communication systems that require high reliability and protection of the transmitted information.
