DBSCAN-Based IoT Object Integrity Self-Management

Remote Attestation (RA) is a powerful method we can use in the Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure IoT object integrity. However, its management in such an environment with resource limitations of IoT objects, as well as existing issues of RA, such as attestation redundancy and several related attacks, pose significant challenges. To overcome this problem, we propose a novel self-management IoT framework that ensures IoT object integrity using a lightweight Remote Attestation and Autonomic Computing paradigm. Our approach implements a DBSCAN model to identify whenever the IoT object requires attestation, thus ensuring IoT object integrity while reducing attestation redundancy, optimizing energy, and extending IoT lifetime.
