In this fast-growing world of IoT applications, it is all the more mandatory to have appropriate conformance testing to assert reliability and compliance. To that end, this project presents a new approach to automated and large-scale online conformance testing targeting IoT systems. The approach of testing and automation to be utilised in the proposed approach means that IoT applications can be tested in real time against established specifications. The framework employs both model-based testing and automated test execution to synthesize the test cases at runtime, which mitigates the issues that stem from the heterogeneity and evolvability of IoT contexts. Furthermore, the proposed solution can scale up and cover large-scale IoT implementations, making it a suitable solution to make decisions and focus on further IoT application deployment without human interference. In turn, such empirical evaluations establish the effectiveness of the framework presenting the feature of identifying deviations from expected behaviour and offering recommendations for developers in order to improve the quality and security of IoT applications. Lastly, this study seeks to assist in the development of effective testing procedures for IoT devices to allow for organized and effective embracing of the changing integral gadgets technologies, hence enhance comprehensive trust in the integration of these devices in different fields.
