Bharatanatyam flourishes in Mudras, which is basically the art of hand gestures, and expresses emotions, visualizes stories, or expresses abstract ideas. In fact, the perfection in doing a Mudra lies in the precision, consistency, and control required in doing it. That's why, mostly, it becomes difficult for beginners to master it. The study will develop real-time hand gesture recognition system for Bharatanatyam Mudras using computer vision and deep learning to assist learning for enhancement of gesture accuracy. The system incorporates advanced deep neural networks which can recognize a wide range of hand gestures and do not interfere with any variation in lighting, background, or performance of subject positioning; the system accurately identifies the Mudra. It gives error-corrective feedback to dancers so they can adjust, thus impacting the performance and learning process overall. This technology, therefore, makes Bharatanatyam accessible to more learners across geographical boundaries.Overall, modern technology is bringing Bharatanatyam-training methods from the past to the present and digitizing them. This system creates a bridge between the legacy of classical heritage and improves progress with modern advancements so that Bharatanatyam may still be alive even in the current and modern digital age. It is also a source of information and knowledge to dance educators, researchers, and artists because it provides insights among and into the analysis of all moves-grounded in productivity and execution. However, in future applications of this research, it could also contribute to possibilities for automated movement analysis, virtual training programs, and AI-assisted choreography. Over the long haul, these innovations will definitely change the face of classical dance pedagogy and make it broad, highly possible, accessible, and at the same time culture-reinforcing within Bharatanatyam itself.
