Accessing user data with other parties is not transparent due to the concentration of authority in handling IoT data. A decentralized system for organizing data for Internet of Things devices is suggested to solve this problem. It makes use of digital contracts to maintain records of inspection on the blockchain and regulate accessibility rights. To avoid a centrally managed system, this enables many parties to autonomously implement rules for their relationship on the blockchain. Critical software parts may be guaranteed confidentiality and safety of information by employing a framework to store initial information in a confidential storage platform and data hashes in the blockchain system using a reliable execution environment, such as Intel SGX.
