This paper introduces an MQTT-based Data Distribution Framework for Digital Twin Networks (MDTN), a solution aimed at overcoming the inherent challenges of data sharing and scalability in digital twin ecosystems.Digital twins (DTs) enable real-time synchronization between physical entities and their virtual counterparts. However, achieving scalable, secure, and efficient data sharing across interconnected DTs remains a significant technical challenge. To address these limitations, MDTN adopts a layered architecture, integrating MQTT brokers, dynamic service management, and advanced trust mechanisms to enable robust data distribution. The framework is designed to support a wide range of communication scenarios through its modular and scalable infrastructure. It ensures secure, real-time data sharing and trustworthiness via services like JWT-based authentication and dynamic resource allocation. The feasibility of MDTN is demonstrated through a smart city use case, highlighting its scalability in managing interactions between stationary and mobile entities. Moreover, the framework's adaptability in cloud environments is illustrated, leveraging containerization to optimize performance and resource utilization.
