Abstract One’s physical and mental well-being can be greatly affected by an eye loss-related deformity. Prosthetic eyes can help these people feel less depressed. Rehabilitation is the most difficult task for physicians caring for these patients with abnormalities of the eyes. Custom-made ocular prostheses are better than prefabricated stock eye shells because they provide close contact with the tissue bed, facilitating a perfect fit. In the case of a custom ocular prosthesis, accurate iris positioning is essential to avoid the appearance of squinted eyes. Tasks can be completed more quickly and accurately due to the growing digitization of everyday life. The prosthesis now looks better thanks to the digitalization of the iris placement process. The digital methods for iris positioning are covered in this paper, with special focus on the pediatric population, where reducing trauma and guaranteeing psychological health are critical. Pediatric patients particularly benefit from digital approaches since they shorten surgery times and enhance overall results.
