This paper proposes a method to apply statistical techniques in the verification and validation process of modeling and simulation (M&S) used in weapon system test and evaluation. Although the use of M&S is expanding in the test and evaluation process, reliability is essential. In this study, we present a method to apply statistical techniques in the V&V process through experimental cases of various weapon systems. We presented the consistency between M&S results and actual data using techniques such as regression analysis, chi-square test, analysis of variance, and Bayesian estimation for major weapon systems such as river crossing equipment (maneuver system), tactical C4I system (command and control system), surveillance radar (surveillance and reconnaissance system), and anti-aircraft guided weapon (precision strike system). The results of the study confirmed that the reliability of M&S can be improved by applying statistical techniques, and that it is effective in supplementing limited experimental data.
