Improved Tolerance Evaluation of Cryptographic Device against CPA by Processing in Frequency Domain to Reduce Effect of Noise
Hideaki Sone, Yuichi Hayashi · 2025
The observed waveform contains noise from surrounding circuits which is irrelevant to the operation of the target circuit. This paper proposes a method to separate the effect of noise components in the observed waveform based on signal analysis in frequency domain, and also proposed an analysis method that divides and uses the measured waveforms. The effectiveness of the proposed method was proofed by an experiment of correlation analysis. The waveform division of the proposed method corresponding to 10 rounds of processing is performed on the waveform measured in one measurement, and it was shown that the efficiency can be approximately 10 times higher than the conventional methods.
