This paper proposes an improved event-triggered adaptive fault-tolerant control (FTC) strategy for stochastic nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with intermittent actuator faults. An improved event-triggered fault-tolerant controller is proposed for addressing the issue of discontinuity stemming from intermittent actuator faults by utilizsng parameters from the actuator fault model. Different from the existing works, using the designed controller, this paper eliminates the restriction of knowing the sign of unknown system parameter. Moreover, the proposed control protocol does not require an unknown nonzero boundary value for the unknown parameter within the actuator fault model. It is shown that the boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop systems can be ensured. Finally, the validity of proposed control scheme is demonstrated through simulation examples.
